This site collects very little, and this page explains all of it in plain language: what is gathered, why, who else sees it, and how to ask me to remove it.
This policy covers heatherheydet.com, operated by Heather Heydet, Alpharetta, Georgia, United States. Questions about anything below can go to heather.heydet@techcxo.com.
There is no account to create here, no newsletter, no shopping cart, and no advertising. The site does three things that involve your information: it measures traffic, it lets you book a conversation, and it lets you send an email.
If you book a conversation or send an email, you provide your name, your email address, and whatever you write. I use it to reply and to prepare for the conversation. I do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list.
Like most websites, this one records basic technical details when a page loads: the page you viewed, the site or search that sent you, your approximate location at city level, your device type, browser, and operating system, and how long you stayed. This is aggregate measurement, not an attempt to identify you.
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This site uses two sets, and no advertising cookies at all.
| Source | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes one visitor from another so page views and sessions can be counted. Google Analytics collects your IP address to derive approximate location, then discards it. | Up to 2 years |
| Calendly | Set only when the scheduling tool loads or you open it, so it can carry your selections through the booking steps. | Set by Calendly |
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works without them; only the measurement stops. To opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, Google offers a browser add-on.
I keep this list short on purpose. These are the only services that see anything.
Email sent to the address above arrives at a TechCXO mailbox and is subject to TechCXO’s own systems and retention practices.
The site is served over HTTPS. Analytics and scheduling are handled by established providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and I will not claim otherwise.
Whatever jurisdiction you are in, you can ask me to tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and I will honor the request. Email heather.heydet@techcxo.com.
Under the CCPA and CPRA you may request disclosure of the personal information collected about you, request its deletion, and request correction. You may not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you may complain to your local supervisory authority. Analytics rests on legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used; correspondence and scheduling rest on your consent and on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. Because Google and Calendly are United States companies, information may be transferred there under their respective transfer safeguards.
Pages here link out to LinkedIn, TechCXO, podcast platforms, YouTube, and client sites. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site under someone else’s policy. I am not responsible for their practices.
This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to anyone under 16. I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, email me and I will delete it.
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Substantive changes take effect when posted.
